eat in TAIPEI
Leputing $$$⭐️ |
A Taiwanese restaurant with a difference. Set in a beautiful setting complete with Japanese style wooded building and gardens, the restaurant serves up a set menu of Taiwanese dishes with a Japanese twist. The menu has 6 courses and you select your main dish from a selection of 3 plus a daily special. The food is tasty and well presented. The service is excellent and the staff professional yet friendly.
The service takes a good 1.5-2hrs, so just relax and enjoy the experience. Prices per person range between NT$15,000 to NTS20,000.

Fujin Tree $$⭐️ |
The Fujin Tree restaurant describes itself as ‘Taiwanese cuisine with bubbles’ as they offer champagne pairing with their dishes. However, didn’t opt for the champagne with my lunch.
The food was fresh, wholesome and extremely tasty. The dishes were quite big and too much for just two of us (we ordered 4 dishes so we could sample a few flavours). Service was fast and the staff attentive. The food balanced with a spacious light and airy setting, made this a very relaxing and joyful experience.
Definitely somewhere I wish to revisit.

An excellent restaurant serving some good Taiwanese cuisine.
The building is quite special and you walk through their cafe and an inner courtyard/garden to get to the restaurant itself. The restaurant has a hip old school vibe and is spacious and nicely decorated. There is even an old typewriter in the courtyard.
We order a few dishes which were served promptly and full of flavour. This was definitely one of the better lunches I have enjoyed in Taipei and can recommend it.
Thought the service the staff were attentive, friendly and always happy to assist. Prices were reasonable and good value for money.

TK Seafood and Steak $$$ |
I normally would eat at a hotel restaurant but made the exception for the TK’s at the Hotel Proverbs as I heard a good things about it.
The restaurant is plush with high ceilings adorned with glitzy chandeliers. I opted for a set menu of six courses which didn’t disappoint. The food was good and tasty, and the service fast and attentive. I had a 20oz Rib Eye Steak for my main course which literally proved more than I could chew off! However it was good.
A little pricey but a nice place to celebrate a special event. As they heard it was my birthday they actually threw in a bottle of sparkling wine (reasonable quality) and presented me with a cake.
